Job Overview:
Asva Capital is seeking an experienced Crypto Fund Manager to lead our newly launched Liquid Fund focused on cryptocurrency public markets. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high-net-worth investment fund, making strategic decisions on asset allocation, developing investment strategies, and ensuring robust risk management in a volatile market. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation in digital asset management, build client relationships, and influence the future of crypto investing.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both traditional finance and the rapidly evolving crypto landscape. You will work closely with HNIs (High-Net-Worth Individuals), family offices, and other investors to help them navigate the dynamic world of digital assets. This role requires a blend of investment acumen, technical expertise in crypto markets, and a strong grasp of risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management & Strategy Development
- Oversee the Crypto Fund: Manage the overall portfolio, ensuring that it aligns with the fund’s investment objectives and risk profile.
- Develop & Execute Investment Strategies: Formulate and implement strategic investment approaches in crypto markets, targeting strong risk-adjusted returns.
- Asset Allocation: Make decisions on asset allocation across various crypto assets while considering liquidity and market conditions.
- Risk Management
- Design Risk Frameworks: Develop sophisticated risk mitigation strategies to protect the fund from major losses due to market volatility, regulatory shifts, or technological changes.
- Monitor Portfolio Risks: Continuously track and manage exposure to risks such as liquidity, counterparty risk, and systemic market risk.
- Stress Testing & Scenario Analysis: Perform regular stress tests and scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts of market downturns on the portfolio.
- Market Analysis & Research
- Conduct Deep Market Research: Regularly analyze the crypto market, identifying emerging trends, new token launches,and regulatory developments that could impact investment decisions.
- Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis: Use both quantitative models (e.g., technical analysis, on-chain data) and qualitative insights to evaluate the potential of various investments.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with industry advancements such as Infrastructure , DeFi protocols, and other blockchain innovations.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track Fund Performance: Monitor and report on the performance of the portfolio, using key metrics like ROI, alpha, beta, Sharpe ratio, and drawdown analysis.
- Client Reporting: Provide regular, transparent reports to stakeholders (HNIs, family offices, institutional investors) on portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment decisions.
- Adjust Strategies as Needed: Based on performance metrics and market analysis, adjust portfolio strategies to ensure alignment with long-term investment goals.
- Client Relations & Investor Engagement
- Build Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with HNIs, family offices, and institutional investors, acting as the primary point of contact for investment inquiries.
- Client Communication: Clearly communicate investment strategies, fund performance, and risk management measures to clients, fostering trust and confidence.
- Investor Presentations: Deliver presentations to clients, potential investors, and stakeholders, explaining fund performance, market trends, and strategic decisions.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure Compliance: Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all fund activities adhere to relevant regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
- Adapt to Regulatory Changes: Stay updated on global crypto regulations and ensure that the fund is in compliance with evolving laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Governance & Ethical Standards: Maintain the highest standards of governance, transparency, and ethical investing.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Lead the Investment Team: Manage, mentor, and collaborate with a team of analysts, junior portfolio managers, and other professionals in executing fund strategies.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with technology, risk management, compliance, and research teams to ensure integrated decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, ensuring everyone stays informed about the latest in crypto finance and markets.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of portfolio management experience, ideally within crypto or digital asset markets.
- Crypto Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, DeFi protocols, and trading strategies.
- Finance & Risk Management: Strong foundation in finance, investment theory, portfolio construction, and risk mitigation.
- Education: A degree in finance, economics, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are preferred.
